Accident report and exchange of information

After an accident: take photos, say what happened.

Photograph the cars, the license plates and the damage, and say what happened. AI writes the accident report and puts the other driver's name, plate, insurer and policy number in their fields. Before you finish, it lists what's missing. The report is a factual record, not an admission of liability. It also lists the reports your state may ask of you, like California's SR-1. Filing them stays with you.

From talking to a sealed PDF

  1. 01

    Talk

Walk through and say what you see. AI writes it into the right section and puts the numbers in their fields. Each photo lands in its section.

  2. 02

    Fill the gaps

Before you finish, AI lists what's missing, like the gas meter reading. Say it, and it drops off the list. You can change anything AI wrote.

  3. 03

    Finish

The PDF is sealed with a trusted timestamp and a code anyone can check. If you want, the other side signs on your phone, on their own phone from a QR code, or later by email.

Accident report and exchange of information: common questions

Do I have to report a car accident to the DMV?

It depends on the state. In California, for example, you file an SR-1 with the DMV within 10 days if anyone was hurt or the damage is over $1,000. The report lists what your state may ask of you; filing it stays with you.

Does the other driver have to sign?

No. Their signature is offered, never required: they sign on your phone with their name and finger, on their own phone from a QR code, or later from an email link. Without it, the PDF carries only your signature.

What should I photograph?

Both vehicles from all sides, close-ups of the damage, both license plates, the road, the signs and any skid marks. Each photo lands in its section, and AI reads the plates from your photos.

For the reports you write on site

Each form uses your country's words and knows the facts it needs: meter readings and keys, defects with their photos, hours worked, the other driver's plate.
