Frequently asked questions
Does a report signed on a phone count?
Yes, for most reports, since the law usually prescribes no form for them. In court it is evidence: under the federal ESIGN Act and your state's electronic signature law, a signature can't be denied legal effect just because it's electronic, and the court decides how much it proves. The PDF carries a timestamp and a verification code, and shows who signed it. Some documents still need paper, a notary or a specific form, such as wills or a car title. Fiveover doesn't give legal advice.
Does the other side need an account or an app?
No. If they sign, they do it on your phone with their name and a finger (their email is optional), on their own phone from a QR code, or later from an email link. Nothing to install.
Can the report be changed after it's sealed?
No, and that's the point. Finishing locks the content and seals the PDF, and any later change to the file shows. If something comes up later, start a new report.
What does the AI do, and what doesn't it?
It writes each section from what you say, puts readings, dates and photos where they belong, reads meters, plates and visible damage from your photos, and lists what's missing before you finish. You can change anything it wrote by talking or typing, and nothing is sealed until you finish. AI doesn't decide who's right, doesn't give legal advice and plays no part in sealing.
